The leading smartphone manufacturing company Tecno unveiled its Tecno Pop 8 phone in the Indian market on Wednesday. It had already been launched in global markets last October. It comes with an octa-core Unisoc chipset, supported by 10-watt wired charging and a 5000 mAh battery capacity. The front houses a dual flash unit. With its single RAM and storage configuration, the Tecno Pop 8 is an entry-level smartphone that will hit the shelves in the country in the coming weeks.

The Tecno Pop 8 phone is available in Gravity Black and Mystery White color options in the Indian market. The Tecno Pop 8 in its single configuration comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variant. Sales will commence from the twelfth of this month onwards. The phone has been priced at Rs. 6,499 (ex-showroom). There’s a special launch offer available at Rs. 5,999 for a limited period. Additionally, there are bank offers applicable only during this special pricing period.

The Tecno Pop 8 phone features a 6.56-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) Dot-in-Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. It includes a Pol-in Display for dynamic notifications, much like Apple’s Dynamic Island feature. Powered by the Unisoc T606 SoC chipset, it comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage capacity. It also supports expanding the RAM virtually from 4GB to up to 8GB and allows storage expansion via a microSD card of up to one terabyte. Running on Android 13 Go Edition based on HiOS 13, this phone operates smoothly.

The Tecno Pop 8 phone boasts a 12-megapixel AI-assisted dual rear camera setup with dual LED flash units. For selfie video calls, it offers an 8-megapixel sensor with a dual LED micro slit flash light. Additionally, it comes with DTS-backed stereo speakers that produce 400% louder sound compared to other phones. Equipped with a 5000 mAh battery and 10-watt wired charging support, this phone ensures a robust battery life. It supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. For security, it incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
